On Friday, October 16, the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment held a legislative hearing on the Radioactive Import Deterrence (RID) Act, bipartisan legislation that I authored. The RID Act would ban the importation of foreign-generated radioactive waste for disposal in the U.S.
